My friend Liz is starting up an etsy shop & she asked me to make a banner for her. I don’t usually do much design work because:
1. I’m not super good at it. I’m passable, but I know my limits. I’m better at drawing.
2. I like drawing better.
But we’re doing a trade, her knitting skillz for my design skillz. I love hand knitted things. How could I turn down that offer? I want one of these:
And who doesn’t want a knitted bathing suit (such a bad idea, right? But SO CUTE!)
But since those would take hours upon hours, and her banner only took me maybe MAYBE two hours, I will probably just ask for a hat or something. I actually feel bad asking for anything. Does anyone else have this problem, where they feel bad asking for things?
Here’s Option One (she emailed me a few images as a “starting point”, which is always helpful. This is the most “ripped off” version.):

Then we tried something “grittier”:

And then ended up back at the beginning….

TAH DAH!!!
(Does anyone know why wordpress has decided to distort all these images? Yeah, I should figure that out…)
PS – Liz’s shop isn’t live yet, so I didn’t link to it. But she’s a really impressive knitter. Dude. Seriously.

was totally pulling for the green & black number. Totally bad ass (not duck ass!).
Can I say bad ass on your blog? Hope so!!
